I have had the experience of Kannan being a coach at important moments in my career.

At senior levels it becomes slightly lonely at the top so having someone as a sounding board, especially when that someone happens to be a certified coach and an experienced corporate executive - adds immense value.

To begin with I was not a great believer of coaching as I always felt if one can't find a answer themselves, how can another help find it for them. But it was just a matter of time for my belief to change. A coach doesn't help you find the  answer but helps you to identify strengths that you thought you have lost and supports in overcoming your challenges. Having a coach has definitely helped me to realize certain things that I have been lacking and opened my mind. The quality of conversation and engagement with you Kannan has been very high and had enormous learning not only at work but it offered me guidance that makes me a better person in everyday life. I know I can be subborn and irritating at times. Despite everything, you relentlessly worked with me to to help me to reach my goal but most importantly be the person whom I am today. Extremely grateful to Mr. S Kannan for the amazing mentor coaching sessions. A wonderful mix of calmness and curiosity - is how i would describe his approach to mentor coaching. It worked beautifully for me because Kannan created a engaging space between us, where we would inquire deeper into coaching itself.  I have been associated with Kannan for Mentoring. I was the mentee and he was my Mentor. The best learning for me is to know how to follow competencies and practice coaching. I had discussions ranging from topics on competencies to challenges in my coaching practice. The insight I got was to always have "Coaching Presence" and never move out of it. Also personally I discovered that I should not take to heart if the client is not accountable, because implementation is purely a client thing. And that is not my failure as coach.
